September 2020

1st September 2020

Welcome back!

We are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back on the 7th September!

Please see below the documents that provide guidance for parents returning and the full opening risk assessment.
I know that you will be thinking about what you might need for September so just wanted to share a few points to help. We are trying to minimise the amount of belongings coming in and out of school, this will help us with cleaning and other logistics. Pupils will need to wear school uniform as usual other than on PE days when they will wear their PE kit to and from school (please see previous guidance on this). We will be providing every pupil with stationery and a pencil case that will stay in school so please do not send pencil cases or stationery into school. Pupils having packed lunch will need a hard, plastic lunch box (named please) that can be washed daily or a disposable bag, please do not send in fabric types. Every pupil will need a named water bottle too please. We will not be providing jugs of water and beakers as pupils will be eating in their classrooms. They will be able to fill their bottles up as needed. We are currently discussing how we will be changing reading books so please bear with us until we have decided on a system. We will let you know as soon as possible. Younger pupils or those who may need a change of clothing, can bring in a change of clothes that will stay in school in a named carrier/washable bag please. They will be sent home as and when used. Please only send in bags that can be either washed or disposed of. Apologies for such a long list and a more regimented approach than we are used to, we are adhering to government guidelines and trying to be as practical and sustainable as possible. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to message me via Dojo. Thank you for your ongoing support.
